Ice Cream Dessert #3

1 package Oreo cookies; (1-lb)
1 teaspoon Vanilla
2 cups Confectioner's sugar
3 Eggs; separated
2 quarts Ice cream
1/2 cup Margarine
1 cup Chopped nuts
2 Squares semi-sweet chocolate
1/4 teaspoon Salt

Grind or roll out cookies. Line a 9x13-inch pan with some of the ground cookies & save the rest for top. Mix in saucepan the sugar, chocolate, margarine, egg yolks, vanilla & salt. Cook just to boiling. Cool. Beat egg whites until stiff, add chopped nuts & fold into the cooled mixture. Spread in pan on top of the cookie crumbs & freeze. After this is frozen, spread with 2 quarts of softened ice cream & sprinkle with the remainder of the cookie crumbs. Freeze.
