Ice Cream Cake #2

4 ounces Butter
4 ounces Sugar
1 Dessert spoon golden syrup; (light Karo)
1 teaspoon Baking powder
1 Egg
1 cup flour; (large)
***TOPPING***
4 ounces Butter
8 ounces Icing; (powdered) sugar
1 Egg
4 ounces Flour
1 teaspoon Vanilla

Cream butter and sugar, add egg and beat well, add golden syrup then dry ingredients. Spread into swiss roll tin. Bake 20 minutes. at 350 degrees F. When cool top with the following:- Cream 4 ounces. butter with 8 ounces. icing sugar, add 1 egg, 4 ounces. flour and 1 tsp vanilla. Spread over cooled base and ice with chocolate icing.
