North Carolina Pork Producers Cole Slaw

1 1/2 medium cabbage heads; chopped
1/4 cup minced green onion
2 cups mayonnaise
3 tablespoons sugar
3 tablespoons vinegar
1 3/4 tablespoons celery seed
1/2 tablespoon salt

In a large bowl, combine the cabbage and green onion. In a small bowl, blend the mayonnaise, sugar, vinegar, celery seed, and salt. Mix well. Drizzle the mayonnaise mixture over the cabbage mixture and toss lightly to mix well. Refrigerate until serving.
