Eastern Style North Carolina Sauce

4 cups cider vinegar
1/4 cup brown sugar
3 tablespoons salt
1 tablespoon red pepper flakes
1 1/2 teaspoons cayenne
1 teaspoon black pepper

Mix ingredients well.
