Sauté‚ onions and garlic in peanut oil until soft. Mix well and cook a few minutes then add: tomato juice cider vinegar Worcestershire, liquid smoke (or try chipotle instead), molasses (you may use equal, after heat is off, for less carbs--molasses tastes and looks better) Simmer until it starts to reduce and smell right. The key is balancing hot, sour and sweet.
