Cow town Barbeque Sauce

1 1/4 pints ketchup
1 1/2 cups sugar
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
2 tablespoons molasses
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon liquid smoke flavoring
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 splash whiskey

Combine all ingredients except whiskey and simmer 1 hour, stirring often. Add splash of whiskey (or brandy) and cook 30 min. more.
